1. Fees, Reservations & Deposits
1.1 VAT does not apply to course fees.
1.2 Initial reservations can be made by phone, in writing or by email.
1.3 Following the initial reservation a deposit of 50% of the course fee (unless otherwise agreed) is required to fully reserve the place(s).
1.4 The balance of the fee is payable at the commencement of the course.
1.5 Cheques should be made payable to M. Cale.
2. Cancellation by Client
2.1 Cancellations may be by phone, in writing or email.
2.2 Where a cancellation is received more than 20 days before commencement of the course a full refund of any deposit will be made.
2.3 Where a cancellation is received less than 21 days before commencement, every effort will be made to re-sell the place. If the place is successfully resold a refund of deposits will be made, less any resulting advertising costs.
2.4 Refunds will only be made after the start date of the course.
3. Transfers
3.1 A client may transfer his/her booking to another party.
3.2 A client may change to another course (subject to availability) without penalty, providing he/she notifies MC of this more than 14 days before the start of the original course.
3.3 Where a request to change to another course is received less than 14 days before the start of the original course, then whilst every effort will be made to re-sell the place, this will be treated as in 2.3 above.
4. Cancellation or Modification of Course by MC
4.1 Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that advertised events actually run, MC reserves the right to modify the content of the course when conditions are likely to be dangerous or unsuitable.
4.2 When such a modification is not possible, MC will notify the client of cancellation as soon as practicable.
4.3 Where course enrolment does not reach the minimum level of students then cancellation will be notified at least 5 days prior to the start of the course.
4.4 In the event of cancellation, clients will be offered the choice of (a) a full refund of fees paid or (b) another course on different dates.
4.5 MC is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred.
5. Health, Fitness and Equipment Issues
5.1 Clients should be aware that courses will involve walking over rough, sometimes steep terrain, for a number of miles in varying weather conditions. Each client should satisfy him/herself that he/she is sufficiently fit, and in possession of the appropriate clothes and equipment.
