Map & Compass Courses
If you are new to Navigation , if you want to brush up your skills, or if you want to fill the gaps in your knowledge then a 2 day Map & Compass course is for you .
Scheduled courses are held in the Church Stretton area giving easy access to the local hills, an ideal venue for basic navigation training. Private courses can be held at your venue.
We do our best to create a relaxed atmosphere and scheduled courses are limited to 6 people so that each person can benefit from the right amount of attention.
Mornings are spent in and around the classroom area, and afternoons on the hillsides. We do not aim to align with the National Navigation Awards Scheme, but the course content is broadly similar to the Silver/Gold syllabus.
If you need low-cost accommodation, we recommend the delightful All Stretton Bunkhouse which is just a short walk from the course venue and early booking is strongly advised. Otherwise please take a look at the other accommodation available locally
